Marketing
4 Tunes has initiated many marketing campaigns.
Robbie Williams was briefly out of contract in 2002, so 4 Tunes constructed a launch campaign for the album ‘Escapology’ to be released independently in the UK and Germany, with European sales solicited by a ground-breaking Intranet site.
Van Morrison was similarly out of contract when 4 Tunes assisted him in planning re-releases of his catalogue as well as compiling and packaging three albums: ‘Live At Austin City Limits Festival’, ‘Van Morrison At The Movies’ and ‘The Best Of Van Morrison, Volume 3’. The last two were released via EMI Records in 2007.
4 Tunes has consulted to Irish-based label Spokes Records, owned by Corrs manager John Hughes. UK distribution was via Pinnacle Entertainment, while 4 Tunes handled UK marketing. Releases included ‘Balance’ by Mark Edwards, and ‘Dancing On Tables Barefoot’, the acclaimed debut album by singer/songwriter Tara Blaise.
Andy Murray has won the Music Week Marketing Award twice: once for the Stiff Records ‘Be Stiff’ tour involving a specially-chartered train, and again for the album campaign for ‘Graceland’ by Paul Simon (Warner Bros Records, UK).
4 Tunes wrote and presented a 2-day course in International Music Marketing for the Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford.
